Gov. Sanwo-Olu rewards LASU student with N10M for achieving perfect 5.0 CGPA

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has honored Ojo Aminat Yusuf, a law student at Lagos State University (LASU), for achieving a remarkable 5.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) upon graduation. The governor presented a cash prize of N10 million to Yusuf during the university's 26th convocation ceremony held in Ojo-Iyana Iba. This outstanding feat by Yusuf not only broke a 40-year-old record at LASU but also earned her special recognition from other dignitaries.

Governor Sanwo-Olu personally donated N5 million to Yusuf, while another N5 million was contributed by the Lagos State government. In addition, the Oniba of the Iba Kingdom, Oba Sulaimon Adeshina Raji, commended Yusuf's exceptional achievement and awarded her N2 million. Furthermore, the monarch pledged to fully support her financially throughout her law school journey.

The vice chancellor of LASU, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, had earlier announced that Yusuf would receive a financial prize of N500,000. The university celebrated the graduation of 10,183 students, with 282 of them attaining First Class honors in their respective fields.
