Lady [/b]vents as she shares her experience with a Lekki-based man who slid into her DM on a Monday morning.
The lady shared on her TikTok page that the man had messaged her, taking care to ensure that he stated where he was living to get her attention. She felt that the man's attempt to impress her by mentioning Lekki was unnecessary and presumptuous.
She stated that the guy had mentioned Lekki as though that would make her succumb to his message and become his friend. This approach, she noted, is common among some men who believe that their location alone is enough to win a woman's interest.
The message the guy known as Emmanuel had sent read:
“Fine girl no pimples. My name is Emmanuel and I stay in Lekki, Lagos. What about you? And I’d also like you to be my friend.”
The lady went on to rant about how those living in Lekki can be very mannerless, tossing around the name of their location as though it were an achievement. She felt that this behavior is indicative of a broader attitude problem among certain individuals from Lekki.
She wrote:
“Message I got on a Monday morning from a mannerless guy who thinks living at Lekki is a big flex. The way some guys start convo can be so annoying. That’s how one guy approached me and started the convo with “I’m Ola from lekki, now you know I stay in lekki, I’m very sure you would love me and want to come visit”. Is this not whining. The werey shock as I hiss comot his front. They plenty like that oo. Some even used “Hello pretty, see i’m using an iPhone, I’ll get you one” aswr many are mad, few are roaming.”
