A Ghanaian mother of three has publicly shared her heartache and distress after being divorced by her husband of 24 years.
In an emotional interview on SOMPA FM, the woman, whose name has not been disclosed, revealed that her husband, an immigration officer, ended their long-term marriage. The primary reason given for the divorce was her lack of formal education.
Despite their lengthy marriage and the three children they share, the woman expressed profound sadness and frustration over the breakup. She also disclosed that she received no financial support following the divorce, which added to her distress.
“After 24 years of being together, he divorced me without giving me even a single Ghanaian cedi,” she said, her voice trembling with emotion. “I am left with nothing and no support from him.”
