The Marlian Music executive's potential return is in response to the public scrutiny he faced after videos showing him being assaulted surfaced online in relation to Mohbad's demise.

During this interview, Naira Marley expressed concern about the influence of media, which he believes has swayed public opinion against him. He emphasized that his return to Nigeria would only be possible if he could be assured of his safety.

Naira Marley went on to share a past incident when he was in the United States and received a distressing call from Mohbad's girlfriend. She reported that Mohbad had locked himself in a bathroom and was contemplating suicide. In an attempt to offer support, Naira Marley called Mohbad and recorded their conversation, encouraging him to seek a peaceful resolution with his family and assuring him that he didn't need to be stressed.

He expressed deep concern about Mohbad's well-being during that period and mentioned that the recorded conversation was an attempt to understand what was troubling his friend.
