"If the outcome had been against me, I don't know, maybe my blood pressure would have spiked to 240/360, assuming I am still alive.

"Because the jubilations from my opponents would have been so intense that they would come, lock my small door, and break my small bones, but you said no," Oshiomhole conveyed to the gathering.

Oshiomhole further mentioned that several governors had failed in their senatorial aspirations, and if he had joined that list, it would have been a disgrace for him.

He expressed gratitude to the people of Edo North for voting him as their senator after his tenure as governor.

Additionally, he thanked the people for voting for President Bola Tinubu in the presidential election and highlighted that Edo-North district was the only district in Edo State where Tinubu emerged victorious.

Oshiomhole pledged his dedication to representing Edo North effectively, emphasizing his responsibility to ensure that the state reaped more benefits from the Tinubu administration.

"There were incumbent governors who contested for the Senate across the country, and many of them lost. I left office seven years ago, and my people still bestowed me with victory. How can I adequately thank you?" Oshiomhole expressed.

"Afeanmi people, when you return to your wards and units, please convey my immense gratitude to your people. During the campaign, I told you that if you want to give me one vote, give it to Bola Ahmed Tinubu," he continued.

"I am extremely proud to declare here and now that in each of these six Local Government Areas, in every ward, Bola Ahmed Tinubu won, and Adams Oshiomhole won," he proudly stated.

"I will proudly carry these results and present them to Mr. President. This is my certificate from the people of Edo North who voted for you," Oshiomhole expressed his commitment to the president.

He assured the people that Tinubu would transform Nigeria just as he had transformed Lagos.

"Tinubu stated that those who claim 'Edo no be Lagos' will still be alive when he becomes president. Not only will he make Edo like Lagos, but even better than Lagos," Oshiomhole declared.

"So, my people, to those who say 'Edo no be Lagos,' Tinubu cannot control us, please inform them that Tinubu is now the Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces," he concluded.
