Destiny, the daughter of the founder and Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Paul Enenche, recently wrote a post on Facebook calling out a person she referred to as 'Miss Holier than thou, Assistant Jesus and Convenient Christian'. In her post, Destiny highlighted that this individual frequently quotes scripture in one post and then proceeds to make derogatory comments in the next, forgetting what the bible had stated the previous day.
The post, which was centered around beauty, saw Destiny stating that her beauty is not measured by society's standards but by God's standard. She added that taste is subjective and that while it's not compulsory for everyone to find her picture beautiful, going as far as to insult her is tantamount to saying "God, this work you made is not marvellous". She admonished the person she was calling out to fear God, and not attempt to belittle someone or make them feel low as it would only show a negative side of them, and any supposed outer beauty they might have would automatically decrease.
Destiny also pointed out that just as she couldn't police what the other person wrote online, they also couldn't police what she posted. She urged anyone who found the message too hot to handle to simply carry their bag and go, in the words of her father, during one of his sermons.
The post was accompanied by two pictures, one of which had the text "Don't let people's compliments get to your head and don't let their criticism get to your heart", while the second picture had the text "If you see beauty in something, don't wait for others to agree".
Destiny's father, Paul Enenche, is a Nigerian pastor, teacher, healing minister, and author who founded Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja, Nigeria. The church has since grown to have multiple branches across Nigeria and the world, with a membership of over 50,000 people.
