The Celestial Church of Christ has strongly responded to Pastor Ibiyiomie's expression of dislike for the church and its worship practices. In a viral video, Pastor David Ibiyeomie openly stated his hatred for white garment churches, specifically mentioning his disdain for the way they conduct worship through incantations. He accused some white garment prophets, whom he referred to as "cele," of using people's names in incantations and prophesying that their children would become alcoholics.

In their rebuttal, the Celestial Church refuted the allegations made by Pastor Ibiyiomie, clarifying that they do not engage in incantations involving people's names. They also emphasized that every prophet within the Celestial Church detests alcohol, contrary to the pastor's claims. According to the church's statement, alcohol consumption is strictly forbidden as it is believed to repel the presence of the Holy Spirit, an important aspect of their religious beliefs.

The Celestial Church highlighted that "cele" is not a generic term for all white garment churches, and different denominations exist within the white garment church community. They suggested that only Pastor Ibiyiomie knows the specific white garment prophet he encountered who allegedly used gin to involve the names of his children. Furthermore, the church stressed that the book of Psalms in the Bible, consisting of 150 pages, does not contain any content that can be classified as "demonic," contrary to the pastor's claims. They also expressed surprise at such an assertion and suggested that attending Salvation Ministries Bible School might be necessary to learn about the alleged demonic uses of Psalms.

The Celestial Church criticized certain Pentecostal pastors for consistently denigrating white garment churches and their practices, despite having adopted and incorporated many of these practices into their own ministries. They also highlighted the prevalence of scandals involving Pentecostal pastors, contrasting it with the practices of white garment churches. The church cited the recent spate of false prophecies from some Pentecostal pastors during the concluded election, which led to ridicule of the entire church community. Pastor Ibiyiomie was specifically mentioned as one who had participated in this behavior but had not taken responsibility for it.

The statement reads…

“Pastor David Ibiyiomie of the Salvation ministries in a viral video professed his hatred for white garment churches. He adduced his reasons to the fact that some ‘cele’prophets according to him ‘put the name of people’s children in kaikai and chant incantations(demonic psalms according to him)prophesying that those children never amount to anything by being alcoholics.

Well cele is not a generic name for white garment churches and there are denominations even in white garment churches, so only he knows the white garment prophet he encountered where the name of his children was dipped in a gin.

In every celestial church parish, every service day, It is always read to the hearing of everyone how the church forbids alcohol drinking as the odour of it repugns the presence of the holy spirit which is copiously enshrined in the constitution of the church. Hence every prophet worth his salt in CCC abhors alcohol as a drink much less as a spiritual formula for any kind of prayer.Aside from that, the bible as a compendium has just a book of Psalms which is 150 pages. Having been privileged to read that book from the beginning to the end, I didn’t come across any part of it that can be classified as ‘demonic’ according to Papa Ibiyiomie, perhaps one need to enrol in Salvation ministries bible school to be taught how psalms are used for demonic purposes.Pentecostal pastors have made it a pastime to froth in the mouth despising white garment churches and their practices. whereas many of the practice, they now regard as charismatics were practises popularised by these white garment churches that they themselves have copied, even though they once criticized them.Meanwhile when it comes to unwholesome Christian practises, they themselves have torpedoed the unscrupulous ones in our white garment churches as they now top the chart in religious scandals out there in the public domainJust recently, many of their colleagues were falling over themselves dishing out one false prophecy after the other about the recently concluded election,a move that turned the church into a butt of jokes in our nation.Papa Ibiyiomie, himself was guilty here and he has never deemed it fit as a prominent.
