A new mother, who sought assistance after her husband spent the money meant for her CS (Caesarean section) on a dog and a new phone, receives millions of naira from compassionate Nigerians. The woman's plight was shared by a social media user identified as @Pharm_prenuer on the microblogging platform X.
According to the lady, a generous individual donated N500K for her medical expenses, but her husband used N180K of it to purchase a new phone and a dog. Providing an update on her situation, the new mother expressed gratitude for receiving three times the requested amount, to the extent that her bank's incoming transactions were halted due to the limit being reached.
In her words, “I’m short of words, I’ve raised thrice of the needed amount until my palmpay can’t receive funds anymore due to transactions limit. Dear kind-hearted Nigerians, I do not know where to start thanking you. Please, it’s enough, it’s too much for me to process. Thank you so much 😭”
A social media user responded to her update, cautioning against sending the money to her husband again and advising her to learn from the experience. They remarked, “I hope you do not send it to your husband again. You should learn your lesson already. Love dy make una do anyhow sometimes. Wishing all the best.”
