The Tiktoker, known as @Adelicious101, recounted the unfortunate event in a video that has since gone viral. She shared that the man had invited her to dinner at an upscale restaurant in Lagos, promising a nice time together.
According to her, she did not go alone; she brought her friend along, and together, they ordered fish and alcoholic drinks. Her date also came with a friend, who joined them for the meal.
However, what started as a fun outing took a sharp turn when, after finishing their meals, both the man and his friend excused themselves, claiming they needed to “make a phone call.” One by one, they left the table and never returned, leaving the two ladies to cover the ₦69,000 bill.
Feeling both frustrated and embarrassed, the TikToker took to social media to share her experience. She expressed her anger over the situation, warned others to be cautious when accepting date invitations, and cursed the man, demanding that he reimburse the amount paid to the restaurant.
